This submital was returned unread by the Obama Camp...
My application to the US Patent office has been received. It has to do with pure fusion energy and the system approach that I take will allow us to take what I have devised and go directly into the design phase.
Particles are accelerated from rest to light speed. There are two thousand streams in each individual "shot" Once all these particles, that are highly reactive hit, a large amount of energy is released (round 6000 megawatts). In a nutshell, it works; and a massive amount of energy will thus be available to turn the turbine blades, as the collision point revolves rapidly around the tunnel.
You should think about this; as you think about your nonsense and your wind energy proposals (how much power do you get when it isn't windy) as well as your solar power proposals (how much power do you get when it is too cloudy?") and your (really stupid clean coal proposal, (which will just bury a huge problem for future Americans in the ground)
And of course your ethanol plants; that burn natural gas and a hell of a lot of it; and the ethanol created has a lot less energy in it then the natural gas) Boy guys, we should just eat the corn! And send the rest overseas to hungry people!
Now the fusion idea? It is just as advertised! It is pure energy and enormous energy and safe energy and 24 hour a day, 7 days a week energy.
I think right now; it is the only way. So I should have word soon on a process that can be proven with today's technology; Very Very Very HOT fusion that help all of us out of the turmoil that we are in!!
Are you going to think about it? I still can't understand why non engineers think they can save the earth, when they have no training in it? Would you ask a grocery clerk to remove a wart off of you butt? Start thinking guys....Would you hire a guy that mows lawns to do your taxes instead your CPA?
I am just like a CPA, but I am called a PE which means professional engineer, the only guys certified to do the energy analysis that you keep claiming to be your own. I hope that you guys start thinking straight! The last thing I want to mention is that there has been evidence from lab tests that we already CAN produce a fractional burst resulting in 3 megawatts of electricity.
My twist on that fact is to simply multiply it thousands of times an hour in 2000 identical streams, so that each set of 2000 parallel reactions will create 6000 megawatts. We can continue to create these batches of energy indefinitely. And there isn't any harmful radiation left over, that is the beauty of it..Think about it!
My process is called the; "Hecht Fractional Batch Single Plant System"
Try to prove it wrong!! You Can't!
Remember it is very very hot! Now let go of those egos! Don't you really want to save the planet? Hey guys! If it is absolutely necessary, I will take the word "Hecht" off of it (which means walleye) And replace it with "Obama" even though he doesn't know either!!!
So OK guys, let us call it the Obama Process!

I am not greedy!! How does fusion work?? Well two particles, that don't really like each other are forced closer and closer together, and that just mounts the resistance, until a moment comes that is very very weird!! They start attracting each other!! and then they bond creating an incredible bang! This releases an incredible amount of energy!! Thus the world's problem is solved!!! Try it in the bedroom, I swear to you it will work!! Be happy! Help is coming! Don't sell your investments! help is coming! And all will be well! I hate to tell you guys, but I know what I am doing! Imagine that! I, a American middle class boy from the Heartland is going to do something amazing!! Again, don't sell your stock quite yet! America might be on the rebound!

My letters are always free | I used to send a lot of press releases to the kansas city star. they put a lot of them on the internet. I am hoping to do that here also. I moved to Texas a few weeks ago. The patent is real, but I have no idea what to do with it. No one has refuted it,but no one has affirmed it either. I hope that someday I can see it happen, but I am just a broke mere son of a gun and I don't know how it will all turn out. I understand that you have to evaluate each letter and I expect that some will be rejected. That is OK. I know the drill. Best wishes and I hope you laugh a lot with me, cry a lot with me and I hope magically someday, we all wake up in a better world someday!

The function of this invention is the proper and expedient use of conventional uses, purposes, and techniques in the solving of one of the most perplexing problems, which despite many many attempts; the conditions, purposes, and designs of many many scientists have failed.
The following description, operation and function are the result of independent reasoning, which is not of; or the result of duplication, but of independent analysis by which, an novel approach in theory has led to a independent and completely new design for the development, testing, and completion of a prototype fusion “BATCH” accelerator system, which will revolutionize all thinking and future designs for the utilization and use of fusion reactions which, at present cannot be contained.
USE, NEEDS AND FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
This device will be used to provide, single out, devise, equip, and contain, all articles, all means, all quantities and all marks that maintain and support said device. The organization, management, and propellant necessary will be the source and the drive equipment will be supplied as necessary to provide the energy necessary for the distribution and delivery of at a minimum 2500 megawatts of useable energy in a typical plant, for the convenience and proper use; fashioned from common construction techniques to render the development, placement and implementation of the device in a reasonable amount of time. Great care must be taken in this endeavor. Careful planning with good design techniques will ensure its success!
The inner chamber shall direct the fusion reaction in a large oval, in conjunction with the magnetic field cores in their saddles with all the supporting structure. Electrostatic acceleration which shall be deemed “achievable” shall consist as otherwise noted in this system description of 1 ¼ inch 316 stainless tubing, welded as required to fit and maintain any and all functions without harming particle flow. The electrostatic grids shall be procured and installed in place per the direction of the particle physicists whose knowledge and foresight shall be utilized, as the establishment of the two fields will be field tested and the final operating conditions of the new fusion plant and as the goal is to maximize the accelerations and thus achieve the target velocities within a smaller length of tunnel, it is clear that “the system” control will have to be adjusted to maximize the magnetic and electrostatic forces to achieve the highest acceleration possible.. It is expected that with the right arrangement of the two tools, and as stated above, the entire perimeter of the “device” can be greatly reduced as it will be possible to achieve greater accelerations and greater accelerations mean that whatever the final decision is on the needed velocities that these velocities may possibly be achieved in a smaller length of the chamber. Two perforated plates each with thirteen hundred holes mainly arranged in a square matrix will be placed near the top of the oval, in one of the arches. . A known and adjustable amount of hydrogen isotopes (ions) will be injected in the two plenums between the two plates and thirteen hundred pairs of particle streams will be directed in opposite directions; as one set of streams travels and is accelerated on the right path; the other set of particle streams will be accelerated on the left path. The two plenums shall have adjustable timing so that the locations of the impact shall be known and calculated precisely. The suggested “stoichiometric mixture” oxygen - hydrogen flame heated portion of the tunnel (which is in the “inert area”) shall be assumed to be “viable” until disproven in the lab, and thus any portion of said volumes which shall be calculated and applied to render the “best achievable” result may be adjusted from the suggested “ten feet” before the collision point. As noted elsewhere in this document, other heating options may be explored if the hydrogen oxygen flame does not perform as needed. The multiple collision point, simultaneous fusion reaction shall naturally “drift” in a clockwise manner, when the collision point is on the left and shall naturally “drift in the counter clockwise direction; because of the differences in the momentum on the two sides of the collision point. It is expected and expedient that any and all achievable results be included, to the satisfaction of the inventor of “the system” as it reasonable that a high enough “drift speed” can be accomplished simply by varying the velocities at impact. It is also noted that “achievable” velocities before impact, greatly increase as the cross sectional areas at the collisions are going to be designed to “compress” to 1/100 the their original size at the point of collision; and the resultant nomial velocity shall be adjusted, as required;
“as fast as necessary” around the chamber,(adjustments to “achievable velocity” may be required to avoid “shell damage”) until the fusion goes out. The initial collision will take place in the classified “inert” section of the chamber. The inert section commences 45 degrees above the Yoke in the arch which indicates that within said arch, 5200 feet of the arc shall be constructed of the “classified material” mentioned elsewhere in this document. The portion of the straight section of the chamber which is constructed of the “classified material shall be initially assessed so that the total linear and curved sections of the inert classified chamber shall be approximately 7000 feet on each side. The “start” of each of the “inert” sections shall be 45 degrees “up” from the end of the “arch” on each side or as noted; approximately 45 degrees “down” from the baffled plates on each side. The collision point shall be located 200 feet from the end of the “arch” on both sides and in the “inert” area marked and typical kinematics equations shall be utilized to obtain both the predictions of the accelerations of the particle streams as well as the impact velocity from both sides of the oval after the necessary compression. The two collision points shall be, as noted; located 200 feet below the arc on the two baffled plate sides of the arch shall be accelerated by any and all means to meet the acceratlion and final collision velocities. Target velocities at the point of collision are slated initially as 1.6 times ten to the sixth meters per second nominal velocity (clock wise travel of the particle streams coming from the left) and 1.4 times ten to the six meters per second from the opposite side (counter clockwise), yielding 2 times ten to the fifth nominal velocity in the direction of the decreasing batch fusion reaction. At the point of collision the two averaged set of particle streams will be compressed as stated, by electromagnetic options, in stages which be determine by “hands on” physicists. (force fields to be determined by particle physicist must include; means to decrease the total cross-sectional area at the collision site 100 to 1. The average velocities of the rotating fusion collision thus should be around 1.6 times ten to the eighth initially from the “Left” side of the oval and 1.4 times ten to the eight meters per second from the “Right” side of the oval in the “compressed area” of the particle streams. The predicted acceleration noted from both sides of the chamber shall be determined with well known calculation methods and thus the actual lengths that the chamber requires will be calculated from such known methods and thus the actual perimeter of the chamber shall be determined from such calculations and said “system” shall be immediately adjusted as there is a need for expediency as the “selection of the site” for the plant cannot be justified without having knowledge of said distance.
After the initial collision, there shall be no further acceleration required. The particle density will rapidly decrease and it is expected that the “cloud” of high energy particles will move clockwise, rotating, while reacting to the backwards momentum that will occur as the particles that have “collided” in the batch scatter to the full cross section of the chamber. The systems will automatically fire a second fusion set of collisions just as soon as the heavy duty vacuum pumps, which will evacuate the chamber as fast as it is required, so that one fusion firing can directly follow another and another and another. It might be possible to “fire” several batches in a row before the chamber gets too saturated with particles. Part and parcel, it will be required to evaluate all such proposals and this addition to the system, will only be termed “viable” after the appropriate testing has been accomplished.
The passages in the plate coil will be supported by the cryogenic pumps as required to drive and supply the necessary liquid nitrogen. All nitrogen piping shall be properly insulated and headers will be fully and completely formed connecting each plate coil to the nitrogen source. The heated, high pressure nitrogen at the outlets shall also be completely collected and shall be utilized as the input to the turbine sections which will drive the generators.
MANNER OF PROPELLING THE COOLING MEDIUM
In the forward, there is no mention of all the functions and proper conditions needed to accomplish the action and proper maintenance, thus this article will in detail describe the function and purpose of all the necessary pieces of equipment, needed for the device to function properly. The device, fundamentally, works to rotate the fusion reaction, to prevent damage to the chamber walls; which currently is in a static position in all previous designs. The heat exchanger sections are composed of an inner chamber fabricated out of plate coil. The inner chamber shall be constructed of plate coil within which liquid nitrogen shall flow. The inner shell shall be oval in shape. The straight part of the cross section is suggested as 16 feet and the radius of each arc shall be 3 feet which means that the height of the chamber shall be at 6 feet. In some cases the chamber must be specially made to achieve its purpose. The exact geometry of the cross section shall be carefully evaluated in the design phase. It is meaningful here to acknowledge that technologies and techniques which will be required to achieve the purpose; of achieving a batch system of pure energy have no prior evidence or knowledge and thus the techniques as given in these articles are not currently in any article or notice and thus are independent and unique. The suggested standard size of the plate coil shall be 4 feet X 8 feet, but in all cases, plate coil overall length and width shall reflect standard sizes whenever possible. Plate coil passages and their interstitial nature as far as heat transfer characteristic and goals shall be carefully evaluated as the time does not permit that analysis here. It is suggested that the plate coil cooling passages shall be specified will allow a minimum flow rate of 80 gallons per minute of liquid nitrogen with little pressure drop; within the interstitial passages of each plate coil panel, thus cooling the inner chamber walls and rendering the reaction continued movement which thus creates a proper environment for the batch fusion process, which is sufficient in density so that the fusion reaction can be sustained as it rotates in the magnetic field. The resulting transfer of energy from the inner chamber to the liquid nitrogen passages will not be excessive as long as the flow rate of the liquid nitrogen is maintained, closely evaluated and that the measurements in the laboratories and in the field show their merit. It is noted that the rotating collision point starts immediately on impact and cycles the entire track; and as the liquid nitrogen absorbs the energy and heats up, it shall be expelled in a cycle, which at one point drives and absorbs all manners, motions, and fluid drives, which are coupled to generators of such size as to service populations as large as 2 million people. It is also suggested that as the system is “proven” that enough vertical space be available in the underground caveran to built another oval directly on top of the first oval and that provisions be made for any other artifact needed to double the nominal generating capacity. A percentage of the electrical energy which is produced will of course be required to energize all plant requirements including high capacity vacuum pumps and other necessary sub systems.

THE DEUTERIUM / TRITIUM MIX, WHICH WILL BE GENERATED ON SITE, USING LICIENSED TECHNOLOGY, WILL BE STORED IN EPA RATED, DOUBLE WALLED TANKS, WHICH SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH LEAKAGE SENSORS, LEVEL INDICATORS AS REQUIRED, PRESSURE GAUGES, AND LIKE DEVICES TO EFFICIENTLY MONITOR ALL TANK CONDITIONS AND TO INDICATE ALL FAILURE MODES.
2. THE DETEURIUM / TRITIUM MIX PLANT SHAT BE ERECTED WITHIN THE PLANT BOUNDRIES AND SHALL SERVE AS THE CONSITUIENTS OF THE PARTICLE STREAMS USED IN THE FABRICATED CHAMBER WHICH WILL BE ASSEMBLED IN PLACE WITHIN THE PLANT STUCTURE WITH ALL ITEMS REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING THE TWO PERFORATED PLATES, WHICH WILL BE ULTILIZED AS A VEHICLE FOR MANUFACTURING THE 1300 PAIR PARELLEL STREAMS FOR THE COLLISION AND ENERGY RELEASING VEHICLES OF THE FUSION PROCESS.

5. AN INDEPENDENTLY CONTROLLED AND INDIVIDUALLY MONITORED (IN THE CONTROL BUILDING) HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, SHALL BE SPECIFIED, PROVIDED AND INSTALLED. SAID SYSTEM MUST INCLUDE FAILURE MODE, CLASSIFIED TECHNOLOGY, WHICH SHALL BE PURCHASED AND INSTALLED BY SAID CONSTRUCTION ENTITY. (PATENT APPLICANT’S KNOWLEDGE OF FAILURE MODE TECHNOLOGY WAS OBTAINED DURING TUNURE AT BLACK AND VEATCH, OVERLAND, KS AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER WRITING SPECIFICATIONS AS REQUIRED BY THE ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION; CONCERNING THE PROPER FILTERING OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS FROM TOXIC AIR SUPPLIES.)
6. AN INDEPENDENTLY CONTROLLED AND MONITORED REFRIGERATION SYSTEM WITH TWO BACK UP SYSTEMS SHALL BE PURCHASED AND EMPLOYED TO COOL THE HYDROGEN STOCK, DEUTURIUM / TRITIUM MIX STOCK, LIQUID OXYGEN STOCK, AND NITROGEN STOCK AND MAINTAIN ALL SAID PRODUCTS AT STP.
7. THE HYDROGEN STOCK WITH ALL INCLUDED ISOTOPES, SHALL BE GENERATED WITHIN THE REQUIRED HYDROGEN PLANT, WITHIN THE FUSION PLANT BOUNDRIES.
8. THE FUSION PLANT MUST BE WHOLELY BE DESIGNED, CONSTRUCTED AND MONITORED WITH THE DAY BY DAY PROGRESS OF CONSTRUCTION. REPORTS, DAILY LOGS, ETC MUST BE SUBMITED BY THE END OF EACH SHIFT.
9. SAID FUSION PLANT SHALL INCLUDE ALL MEASURES AND ALL SIGNALING DEVICES, AS REQUIRED, IN A CONTINUOUS BATCH PROCESS, TO GENERATE, STORE, AND DISTRIBUTE SAID PRODUCTS, NOT ONLY AS FEED STOCK TO FEED THE BATCH REACTION PROCESS, BUT ALSO TO FEED THE UTILITY REQUIRED HYDROGEN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, WHICH WILL, IN TIME INVOLVE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THOUSANDS OF MILES OF PIPE, AND NEW COMPRESSING STATIONS (NOT LISTED HERE)
10. VENTILATION;
ALL MEANS, CALCULATION, AND DESIGN MUST BE DETAILED FOR A PROPER AND SAFE EVACUATION SYSTEM. 11. UPS; BATTERY ROOMS WITH THE LATEST BATTERY TECHNOLOGY (LITHIUM ION) (SEALED) SHALL BE PLACED AT STRATEGIC POINTS, AROUND ALL PLANTS, PROCESSES, AND WITHIN THE CONTROL ROOMS, TO MAINTAIN A MINIMUM OF EIGHT HOURS OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION OF ALL CRITICAL PROCESSES.
12. EMERGENCY GENERATORS, INCLUDING PORTABLE GENERATORS; MUST BE AVAILABLE, AND SHALL BE CONNECTED AT CRITICAL JUNCTION POINTS. TRANSFER SWITCHES (MANUAL) SHALL BE PROVIDED AT EACH CONNECTION POINT AND A SMOOTH TRANSITION OF ELECTRICAL POWER SOURCE MUST BE DESIGNED INTO EACH SYSTEM.
13. ALL CONTROLS, PLACEMENTS, OPERATIONS IN PROGRESS SHALL BE DESIGNED SO THAT ORDERLY SHUTDOWN CAN OCCUR IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, OR INTENTIONAL SABBATOGE.
14. ALL LIGHTING IN THE CONTROL BUILDING MUST BE FLOURESENT, WITH ENERGY EFFICIENT BALLASTS. ALL LIGHTING MUST USE THE LATEST MOST EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY.
15. HVAC DESIGN IN ALL AREAS SHALL SPECIFY THE HIGHEST ENERGY EFFICIENCY STANDARD, CURRENTLY IN THE FIELD, AT THE TIME OF THE AWARDING OF THE CONTRACT.
16. MAINTENANCE MANUALS MUST BE PREPARED AND DISTRIBUTED TO THE RESPONSIBLE PARTIES ON ALL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING, REQUIREMENTS OF PERIODIC MAINTENANCE, UPKEEP, AND REPAIR.
17. SAID PLANT CONTRACTOR MUST PERFORM MANDATED TRAINING ON ALL SYSTEMS, EQUIPMENT, PLCS, AND ANY AND ALL OTHER DEVICES NOT LISTED HERE, FOR THE PROPER AND FULL OPERATION OF THE FUSION ACCELERATOR PLANT.
18. LAST BUT NOT LEAST; THIS FUSION PLANT IS A BATCH PROCESS PLANT. CAREFULLY PLACED, A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF DEUTURIUM TRITIUM MIX WILL BE INJECTED DIRECTLY IN THE CENTER WHERE THE TWO PLENUMS LIE. THESE PLENUMS, BETWEEN THE TWO HIGH TOLERANCE PERFORATION PLATES WILL CONTROL THE APPLICATION AND WILL ESTABLISH THE TIMING AND CONTROL NEEDED TO ESTABLISH; IN THE TWO DIFFERENT FLOW DIRECTIONS; THE TWO THOUSAND STREAMS NEEDED (PARTICLE SIZE IN INVENTION TO BE DETERMINED BY EXPERIMENTATION) WITHIN THE CHAMBER... THE PARTICLES WILL BE ACCELERATED AND WILL COLLIDE AT A SPECIFIC POINTS IN THE CHAMBER TO CREATE THE CONDITIONS FOR FUSION.

d. THE ORANGE PLUME, TECHNICALLY CANNOT BE PREDICTED WITH ALL CERTAINTY, THUS THE EXACT QUANITIES OF THE CONSITUENTS OF THE COMBUSTANTS SHALL BE EXPERIMENTALLY DETERMINED. INITIAL VELOCITIES ON RIGHT SIDE WILL BE ACCELERATED TO 1.4 TIMES TEN TO THE EIGHT METERS PER SECOND, WHILE PARTICLE STREAMS ON THE LEFT SIDE SHALL BE ACCELERATED, AS MENTIONED ABOVE, TO 1.6 TIMES TEN TO THE EIGHT METERS PER SECOND, PARTICLE STREAMS (1300 IN EACH BATCH) SHALL BE TIMED, SO THAT THE INITIAL COLLISION ON THE LEFT SIDE SHALL BE WITHIN THE INERT COLLISION PART OF THE TUNNEL MOUNTED ON EACH SIDE OF THE OVAL, WHICH REPRESENTS THE FIRST 1700 FEET ON EACH SIDE OF THE CHAMBER WALL, WITH THE COLLISION POINT APPROXIMATED AT 200 FEET AFTER THE START OF THE INERT PART OF THE CHAMBER, ON EACH SIDE.
9. ALL SUCH VEHICLES, AS SUCH, AND ALL SUCH MOTIONS AROUND THE PERIMETER SHALL HENCEFORTH BE DESIGNATED AS "THE TRACK" SAID TRACK SHALL EMPLOY ALL MEANS OF ACCELERATION INCLUDING MAGNETIC AND ELECTROSTATIC. ELECTROSTATIC MEANS SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED ONLY OUTSIDE OF INITIAL COLLISION SITES. MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF 1 - 1/2 SQUARE INCH 304 STAINLESS STEEL TUBING. INTERSTITIAL SPACES OF SAID TUBING SHALL BE COOLED BY CHOSEN FLUID AS DEEDED NECESSARY IN THE HEAT EXCHANGING PORTIONS OF SAID TRACK.
10. AN EVALUATION SHALL BE COMPLETED COMPARING HEAT TRANSFER SURFACES REQUIRED ON THE SURFACE, WHICH SHALL REJECT THE WASTE HEAT. ALL SUCH SURFACES SHALL BE DEEMED IDENTICAL AND SHALL BE WITHIN THE SITE BOUNDARIES OF USE AND SHALL INCLUDE LARGE WATER COOLING TOWERS AND AS AN ALTERNATIVE DRY COOLERS... IT MUST BE MENTIONED IN THIS ARTICLE THAT THERE IS EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE THAT
DRY COOLERS HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS MAINTENANCE. DRY COOLERS SHALL BE EVALUATED WITH VARIABLE SPEED FANS, FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY.

A POSITION PAPER CONCERNING THE CREATION AND ACTIONS NEEDED TO PROVIDE A CONTINUOUS BATCH FUSION REACTION SYSTEM
This new invention which was submitted to the US Patent office in October of 2008 was initially developed to investigate through existing processes if a viable process could be developed which could provide repeatable collisions, with each set of collisions providing usable fusion energy. As I lay no claim to being a particle physicist and lay no claim to having access to any laboratory, my only claim is to a power plant system, which should create substantial amounts of energy. In the lab, all items in question will require further research and development. It is not my purpose to claim that every process that is talked about in the patent is viable, but only that there may more then one way to skin a cat, so the whole purpose of said invention of note is to provide to the many many scientists, and engineers, sufficient claims to “peak “ their interest.
I read a treatise on fusion energy. This particular process indicated that a 3 megawatt burst (I believe it was less then .1 second) was possible. At the time, as I wanted to propose a system that can produce a peak 6000 megawatt collision, I decided to propose perforated plates, each plate carefully lined up with the other. The idea was to create very high precision particle streams that could be accelerated in the chamber. Again since I am not a particle physics guy, I am not educated in the amount of particle density and energy that is needed to sustain for even a small amount of time a fusion condition.
As time went on, I decided that it made more sense if I took my 2000 particle streams and strongly condensed them right at the collision site or sites. I knew from my mechanical engineering studies that the collision point would be similar to a venturi apparatus and that the velocities would be sky high in the “pinched” areas and that the temperatures would go through the roof.
I am still envisioning very carefully timed and measured batches of isotopes. As for an example, the particle streams on the left side of the oval would be accelerated to a much greater velocity then the particle streams that are emitted from the right side. This will cause a gradient where the average velocity will be substantial and will be in the clockwise direction. The expectation is to create the first collision on the left side of the oval in the “protected area” of the chamber which is defined as a highly classified top secret material, well known to the material scientists that worked with it in the early eighties and used in aerospace development. Unfortunately the exact nature and function is only known within that realm of the Department of Defense with sufficient clearance. But it is with my awareness of this material and its conditions of its use that I am aware of the tremendous temperatures that this material can resist.
The purpose of the classified material is to sustain without damage the initial collision point; as at that point in the structure, the velocities of the particles will not be high enough and it is expected that in that area, the relatively slow particles, with their extremely high temperatures would damage or destroy the heat transfer surfaces. Extremely high acceleration is mandatory in the classified parts of the tunnel and it is necessary to get the velocities in the particle streams as high as it is necessary, so that the particle streams do not damage the stainless steel heat transfer surfaces. I do not, of course, know what particle speeds I need to protect the heat exchange surfaces, but to me, if the velocities are high enough then the tens of millions of degrees will pass by the heat transfer surfaces so fast that there will be no damage to them.
The main chamber has to be designed so that each reaction has enough time to “spin” around the track to the point at which the fusion “burst” goes out.
I have not completed a careful study of the necessary vacuum pumps, but I think that we might be able to have many bursts in a row, before the particle count within the tunnel renders ignition impossible.
It is my expectation that the first collision point, will, as stated above be on the left side and with great velocity will go out in the inert portion on the other side of the oval. At that point another “batch” of deuterium – tritium particles will be sent into the tunnel, carefully timed and measured, but this time, the particles that are emitted on the left of the oval will have a slower velocity then the particles on the right, and the point of collision will occur on the right side of the oval in the classified area which is similar in scope to the left side classified area.
I envision a grandfather clock system, where the light spins first left to right and then returns right to left and I expect since the total reaction is a fraction of a second that the human eye certainly will not be able to follow it.
I do understand that what I am proposing involves horrendous temperatures and energy releases and I expect that if this machine is built that we will have to “tread lightly” as we slowly ratchet up the batches and the timing, Even so, at present, I think that my idea deserves attention and it is my dream (of course) that we build a system such as I describe. I understand and I too am very hopeful for the “best way” to be developed, but I just have to say in passing that si |
